- Additional Information
Cosmetic Ingredient Opacifier is natural mica which can also be used as a transparent alternative of talc. Cosmetic Ingredient Opacifier products create buildable coverage without complete coverage.
Natural Cosmetic Ingredient Opacifier mica is a so called 'wet-ground' product, produced from high purity flake mica concentrates by a slow, frictional delamination process. This process is designed to effectively delaminate the mica flakes preserving it's platy structure, providing products with optimized aspect ratio, sheen and slip.Cosmetic Ingredient Opacifier is a natural mica, treated with lauroyl lysine that enhances the tactile properties, long wear properties and hydrophobicity of cosmetic powder products. It provides silky feel, good payoff, and adhesion to skin.
Avoid grinding and milling of the mica, the particles might break. Cosmetic Ingredient Opacifier products disperse well without grinding. They can be added to the powder system while stirring after milling of the organic/inorganic pigments and before the binder is added.
